Crikey, over last two days I’ve had SO MANY updated privacy policies from various sites, services, apps and the like I wondered why this is happening!
Now I know why…
Basically, this is due to a new European Union (EU) law called the General Data Protection Regulation (or GDPR for short) is a European Union (EU) law taking effect on May 25, 2018. The goal of GDPR is to give EU citizens control over their personal data and change the data privacy approach of organizations across the world.
This will affect companies doing business in the EU, so we don’t really need to worry about it in NZ.
